Wrap the jute or twine around one of the canning lids, be sure to cover all traces of the metal. Once the first lid has been completely covered, tie the second lid to the first using the same twine and then continue wrapping the twine around the second lid.
Finish off by tying the jute in a knot between the two lids.
Cut a hat and scarf from the felt. Tie the scarf around the “neck” and glue the hat onto the smaller canning ring. Add a sprig of sparkly Christmas ribbon and a piece of twine for hanging. Or for a different look, knit a tiny scarf and hat instead. Happy Holidays!
