Crochet Cover Base3 Bottom of wine bottle 007cnrp

Since bottles vary in size, this pattern is only mean for the Barefoot wine bottle I used. I started with a circle motif, crocheting nine single crochets into a beginning loop. After joining the last single to the first, I chained three for the first double crochet of the second round. I did one more double into the base of the starting chain and two double crochets into each single crochet of the first round, finishing with a total of 18 double crochets, counting the chain three as the first double.

After attaching the last double crochet into the top of the beginning chain three I chained two, to count as the first half double crochet of the third round. I made a second half double into the base of the starting chain and two half double crochets in each double crochet of round two, finishing with 36 double crochets, counting the first chain two as the first half double. Chain four.
