Take your rocks to a well ventilated area and lay them out on a tarp or newspaper so you don’t stain the surface below.  Using the red spray paint, cover the entire surface of the rock.  You will want to make sure the layer is thick enough to cover any trace of the rock color.

Next you will leave your painted rocks out for 24 hours to dry. Once it is fully dried you can either add a second coat of red, or move to adding the black paint.  Start near one of the ends of the rock and draw a line across the width of the rock where you want the face to be. Color in the entire face with the black paint pen.  After the face is done, you will want to draw on the wings.  You can draw a line that runs down the length of the rock, making sure it curls to the side near the bottom.
