Décor

Use mirrors to balance the light in a roomDespite your interior design preferences, incorporating more décor is a great way to breathe new life into the overall scheme of your home. You can tailor it however you want, but there are several types of décor that shine best when in conjunction with natural light.

  • -When you decorate with mirrors hang them parallel to windows so light will reflect into the rest of your home.
  • -If you utilize bookshelves and other large obstructions, make sure they’re placed perpendicular to all light sources so that sunlight can flow freely through the space.
  • -The use of strategically placed floor lamps and other light fixtures can supplement where sunlight begins to trail off. For the best results, make sure the lighting is indirect and aimed toward the ceiling.
