Keeping track of a productive weekend.

One of the reasons I am so excited about developing HomeSpot HQ is because of the weekend I just experienced where I completed several projects.  Here’s a few of the things that will ultimately feed my HSHQ account:

  1. I bought a new edger for my yard – so now I have one more owner’s manual to keep track of.  HSHQ will help me record the relevant information about this tool, including when and where I purchased it, and either a link to the online version of the owner’s manual from the manufacturer, or a note to myself of where I store the paper version.
  2. I completed two projects:  installing a television antenna and (while I was up there) cleaning the gutters.  I will record how these projects happened, including the price of renting the 32′ ladder and the fact that the gutter at the front of the house may need an extra screw to be secured.
  3. I bought and replaced 6 landscape light bulbs in my yard.  I now know what store has the right size, and that I can get a 4-pack for $5.  This is a fact that will be recorded in the Home Diary.
  4. We discovered a pretty large termite nest out in one of our flower beds.  Consequently, I would use HSHQ to create a maintenance task to have an annual termite inspection, as well as keep track of the vendor we would use.
  5. My wife and I started pricing materials to add a patio in our back yard.  We found several products that we liked, and these would all be added to a Project entry in HSHQ.

HomeSpot HQ is for homeowners by homeowners.  I’m looking forward with great excitement to it’s initial launch soon.
