Walls and Trim

white do-it-yourself board and battenThe first issue to address was the walls. The wallpaper was dated and the trim did not match the white in the rest of the house. We decided to remove all the wallpaper, replace the trim with rectangular pieces, and install board and batten.

Four by one boards were used to frame out the backing back to give it the board and batten look. The full tutorial can be viewed on DIY Board and Batten.
