Nursery Before And After

Our first is due March 23rd and we couldn't be more excited! The big project immediately became remodeling the nursery, which turned out to be a lot more work than expected. Alas, in the end everything turned out great!

Red, Aqua, and White

Painting was pretty fairly straight forward but picking a paint color can always be tricky. We landed on aqua and red with white trim. My wife is a big fan of aqua and the red accents really give it an extra pop. The white woodwork seemed obvious as a neutral to match the rest of the house. We also added in some grays on the crib sheets, curtains, and the chair we had upholstered.

The red came mainly from the area rug but other touches were added in all over the room. The little rocking horse was a gift from a good friend. Some of you might remember it from the Chalkboard Frame project. The last part of red comes from art on the walls,  the changing pad cover, and the new IKEA light.
