I never quite understood Shabby Chic design style. Shabby meaning "in poor condition" and Chic being "elegant and sophisticated". An oxymoron if I ever heard one. So I set out on a mission to save all furniture from this style. Just kidding, really, though I do enjoy making neglected pieces of furniture look new again.
Gather your supplies: Sandpaper for prepping, metallic spray paint for the base coat, Ralph Lauren Candlelight topcoat, a large harlequin or other stencil and a foam stencil brush.
If you can’t find RL Candlelight, you can use a similar color latex paint in a different finish from the base coat. If your base is semi or glossy, then use a satin or flat for the stencil or vice-versa.
