Drain Cleaning
Dump two cups of vinegar once a month down the sink to prevent a drain clog. Vinegar is great at getting rid of scale buildup and other debris in the plumbing. But make sure to add this to your monthly home maintenance checklist or the buildup will become tougher to clean.
A combination of baking soda and vinegar can be used to fix a clog, if one occurs. Drop about half a cup of baking soda down the drain and follow it up with two cups of vinegar. The two should react in a fizzling action when combined. Flush the chemicals and debris down with a gallon of boiling water.
