How to make mason jar soap dispenserCreate your own soap dispenser using a mason jar and a plastic pump. This cute dispenser is inexpensive and easy to make. You can use any kind of jar with a lid, but Mason jar lids are a little thinner than the typical jar and the inner lid is flat which makes it easier to nail or drill a hole into.   You can paint the lid, the jar, both or neither. Add ribbon or twine or raffia. Or add your own special touch to this project.

  • Jar and lid
  • Glue gun or silicone caulking
  • Plastic soap pump (recycle one from hand lotion or soap dispenser)
  • Hammer and nail or a drill with a large drill bit.
  • Needle nose pliers
  • A chunk of wood at least 1 ½” thick
  • Optional: Spray paint
