Kitchens have a number of appliances and fixtures to help with cooking and cleaning. Utilizing this kitchen maintenance checklist will keep everything working well and reduce the chances of needing a repair. Try to perform the tasks on this list at least twice a year.

Clean the refrigerator coils to improve energy efficiencyRefrigerator and Freezer

Is your refrigerator or freezer not staying cold? A lot of times this because of too much dust covering the heat exchanger, the metal set of coils. Without a way to expel heat, the refrigerator will not stay cool.

To prevent this problem use a duster to clean of the coils. Be sure not to apply to much pressure to the delicate fins on the coils. It is also good to remove the power to the unit while cleaning to avoid a shock.
