China Cabinet

This china cabinet came to us from a local lady that was selling some furniture before moving.  We picked up a few pieces from her including a table that had been sitting on her back porch long enough that it had become shelter for some stray cats, but that is an entirely different post.

We used CeCe Caldwell’s Chalk and Clay paint in both Vintage White and Traverse City Cherry to transform this cabinet from blah to wow!  After getting the color coats on, we sealed the piece with a satin water-based polyurethane.  A light sanding after the poly was dry and then buffing with clear wax gives the piece a luxurious, silky feel.
