I recently had the pleasure of working with Carl from Back Bay Pest Company, and I wanted to take a moment to share my experience. From start to finish, Carl was incredibly friendly and approachable, making me feel at ease during what could have been a stressful situation.

Active rat infestation after 5 years of service. I had a technician at my house Friday (FRIDAY!!?!), yet still found 4 dead rats on Tuesday (some have been dead for a long time – see photos below). The owner made excuses and refused to accept responsibility. Back Bay’s owner thereafter called the local Terminix franchise because he thought Terminix was poaching his customer and throwing him under the bus…Consumer beware!!!
Update: This problem could have been avoided if a licensed technician actually inspected and treated the crawl space. Your employee was there twice in the past month, yet these rats have been there for months! Also, I have been unable to find the technician’s license number on the State’s website. Moreover, the technician notes indicate that no one ever entered the crawl space or attic for termite inspections. My neighbor, also a back bay customer, just discovered that he has rats, too! There is no excuse for a pest control company to not prudently inspect obvious sources/areas of concern when it has assumed contractual responsibility for mitigation and prevention of the very condition depicted above. The homeowner should have been informed of the deplorable condition if a licensed technician would have exercised due diligence. We paid for service that was not performed pursuant to industry standards/best practices.
Our technician was very friendly, knowledgeable, and took time to listen to my concerns and ask questions which meant a lot to me. He was able to target the issues we were having and took care of them the same day. I called on a Tuesday evening and they were out on Thursday morning. Quick and reliable service. We are very happy!

They were spot on time for the initial inspection. John was very detail oriented and professional. He gave me all the options and recommendations needed to make an informed decision. The tech, Dreven, did the first application and trap set called to let me know he was available early if that was better for me. It was way better. He was courteous and professional. As a typical home owner I had a tone of questions. He answered them all with a knowledgeable yet friendly demeanor. I would highly recommend Back Bay Pest.
