Real nice, cutting people off on an off ramp.
(Before anyone says something, it’s a wide angle lens, every is going to appear further away than it actually is)
Update: Nice trying to blame me, I reviewed the video again, my speed(at the bottom) stays quite steady at 53mph as clearly shown, also, quite clearly shows said company truck(clearly the owner it seems) zooming past and diving into off ramp. How am I supposed to see a blinker on my direct left when I’m looking at where I’m going/turning.
Another update: What car infront? Seems like the lane was quite clear infront of you. Might want to check your driving and not blame others when you’re clearly at fault. As for the other review, you mean the other company truck which nearly hit me after crossing 3 lanes and trying to continue into mine? As the video I posted then also clearly shows…..
I’ve been with this pest control company for two long years, and my experience has been nothing short of frustrating, particularly as I navigate life on the Eastern Shore. Living in this quaint but sometimes challenging environment has not shielded me from the intolerable inconsistency of their service. The pervasive presence of roaches in our home has taken a toll on my mental well-being, heightening my anxiety, especially since I also care for my elderly mother, who deserves a safe and comfortable living space.
In the beginning, I faced significant challenges. My disabilities led to difficulties that caused me to fall behind on payments during my first year. This period was incredibly stressful, but I regained my footing and caught up on what I owed. To my relief, I was switched to a monthly payment plan, giving me hope for more reliable service. Unfortunately, that hope has been dashed. The technicians showed up infrequently, and in a particularly disappointing turn of events, they failed to arrive for a scheduled spray in March—an oversight that should never have occurred after two years of service.
Assuming my contract was up, I contacted the company’s customer service for clarification. Instead of receiving assistance, I was met with an unexpected barrage of anger and condescension. The representative shouted, treating me as if my inquiries were an inconvenience. In the heat of the moment, I stood my ground and responded in kind, feeling the weight of frustration from being dismissed.
It’s disheartening to observe how some companies exploit the vulnerable, prioritizing profit over compassion. It feels incredibly unjust that people like me, who are scraping by and reliant on support, face such adversity. With steadfast hope and prayer, I remain determined to move forward through this turmoil. I implore anyone in a similar situation—especially those with disabilities or living on a fixed income—to conduct thorough research before committing to a service. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, particularly when safeguarding their home and peace of mind.
My family and I with the help of my church will retain just in case they try to come at us litigiousy.
I made a huge mistake hiring this company once and cancelled the service almost immediately. Cancellation required a certified letter and cost me a lot of money. I found the owner to be like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. One minute he’s super friendly and making promises and then if you have any disagreement at all he is defensive, angry and quoting the contract as if he is a lawyer. I was asked to sign the contract in my front yard on an iPad with a sun glaring on the screen. I was an idiot for signing it without taking it to my lawyer first and sleeping on it. All you have to do is read the contract to know this is NOT a business or business owner you want to deal with. Some sample language from my contract…..(client) “waives the right to a jury trial,” “agrees and allows Bug-Masters LLC. permission to use audio and video at their discretion while on clients property or presence. This also includes any and all phone calls incoming or outgoing …..” and my favorite, discounts offered for good reviews. But…..they take away the discount and make you pay it back if you ever change your review. “this credit will be given as a courtesy and will be retracted if the client changes their 5 star review at any time. The purchaser understands and agrees that if he/she changes the review that they will be responsible for repayment of the credit(s) amount and any late fees that are incurred.” Can anyone trust a paid review that would cost the person to change? Should a business be able to retract a discount if the situation changes and a review is changed? I wouldn’t trust any positive review that is paid for. I suggest reading the Yelp reviews if considering this company. On Yelp there are currently only 13 Five Star reviews of this company and I assume many or all of them got discounts. To change those reviews it could cost them money. I see 33 reviews at a the lowest rating of 1 Star. If you read the negative reviews and review the contract it should be obvious that this is NOT a company to risk being under contract with. It cost me a fortune to cancel. I thankfully never left a good review and am free to give my opinion. My initial issue was that Bug Masters was under my house several times and each time I asked for them to remove the dead rodents and tell me how many there were under my house. They never complied with my request to do this. When I called another company the man removed them on the first visit before I had even hired him and it turns out there were only a few. My problem was not as big as I thought or perhaps as big as they wanted me to believe. There are so many options for pest control, why take a chance on this company? It should be easier to find a better company and one that doesn’t have to lock you into a contract like this one to keep your business or punish you when you no longer want their service.
I was a customer of Bug Master’s for over 3 years, and the product and service were generally fine. I switched to a different company and called to cancel my services, but was told by Jon that I’m not able to cancel because there’s a self-renewing contract and I have to jump through some hoops to cancel. So he starts telling me about how I can’t cancel because I have a contract instead of giving me the information about cancelling, literally saying, “Well if you had read your contract…” I still don’t know how to cancel because the information is not on their website and Jon hung up on me when I got angry about all of this nonsense.
Their prices are significantly above average in the area, and they started charging an extra $5 travel fee during the pandemic and never stopped. So a $125 service is actually $130, plus an extra fee if you pay by credit card (the only other way to pay is to mail them a check).
