Moxie Pest Control

Today was my first service, and so far everything looks good. I do have some concerns about canceling the service since I’m planning to sell the house (which is actually why I signed up when the salesperson approached me while I was doing yard work). I was told there’s free cancellation, so I submitted a cancellation request today — both through the online form/message to the salesperson and also directly to the technician who completed the service, who noted it in my visit. I hope everything goes smoothly, as I definitely don’t want to be charged for services after I no longer live here.

This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They will have you sign a year long service contract. Do NOT do it. They told me they guarantee their work, but when they were not able to get a handle on the mouse problem at our house, they refused to let me out of the contract. Additionally, they schedule quarterly service and either they don’t show up or they don’t notify you that they are there. If they do show, they treat the outside or your house in 5 minutes and leave, hoping to escape treating the inside. Your kids and pets shouldn’t be home when they treat the inside, but good luck finding a time when you’re home to make sure they come in to do it AND your kids are gone. When you do find a time and schedule your service, they’ll give you a 4-6 hour window so you’ll hang around waiting but they won’t show. And they absolutely will not let you out of your contract regardless of whether they are fulfilling their part of the deal. I’ve never been more frustrated with a company.

EDIT: as you can see below, the “owner” responded and asked me to call. I called and the answering service told me that the owner doesn’t take calls. I have no interest in speaking the customer relations because I’ve already spoken with them 3-4 times without resolution of any of the issues.

We’ve had Joshua’s Pest Control for a couple years now after ditching a competitor. I’m glad we did. Their technicians are kind, friendly and knowledgeable. They clearly explain the service they’ll be performing and are able to confidently answer questions. Quick, reliable and trustworthy. Highly recommend!
