217 was prompt and professional in diagnosing our issue, and prescribing a range of solutions to fix the problem. Their team responded to our messages and inquiries in a timely manner, and mustered the labor to remove and dispose of our old furnace and water heater on the same day that they then installed both of the new replacements, making the installation process about as painless on our part as possible.
Their technicians were both professional and personable at our appointment, walked us through the newly installed equipment, provided advice on maintenance to extend the lives of the new units, and offered to answer any questions we might have about the new systems.
The only thing about their service model that I think some might take issue with is the relatively opaque nature of their quotes. While the quotes detail the services to be performed and the equipment and supporting plumbing to accomplish the job, the standard quotes they provide for price comparison are not itemized by individual costs, and instead express flat rates inclusive of materials, equipment, and labor. As someone with functionally no knowledge from which to determine the relative value of the work, itemized statements would not have aided me much in determining whether the price was fair, either the flat rate made sense or it didn’t, and how that cost was allocated changed nothing for me practically. However, if you’re a knowledgeable property owner with prices to compare these to, you may want to ask for a more itemized quote.
Overall, I think I would recommend 217 to others seeking HVAC and plumbing work to be performed promptly, but it is possible that better value exists out there for someone in a position to shop around and compare quotes.

In short, they won us over with their perfect service, which included knowledgeable, responsive and courteous communication, competitive pricing, expert technical capability, fast scheduling, quality maintenance, thorough system evaluation, clear and concise sales and accounting, a quiet, organized and meticulous installation, good documentation and consistent follow-up. It is truly impressive how smoothly their team works together to provide a comprehensive solution that covers everything we could possibly need.

The guys were really professional, the work was clean, they showed up when they said, and on time. They have serviced our furnace and air conditioner for a number of years. I appreciate that they explain situations well, and the estimators and service technicians are knowledgeable about the equipment.
The air conditioner didn’t make any noise before, but it’s been making a lot of noise lately, and there’s also a vibration sound. I asked them to come over twice, but they said there was no problem, and they just left after taking a look. I feel like they’re not very professional. There was no problem, but the air conditioner kept making a lot of noise. They came out once and charged 80, but they still didn’t solve the problem.
I called in for a sewer line inspection after our lines backed up, and they got a tech out within a day. Mitch was fantastic, professional, and very open about all the work they were doing and the issues they found. They got the sewer line cleared in about 30 minutes and laid out options for long-term care. Incredibly happy with their services and will be reaching out to 217 for any future issues!
