Aaron treated my house today and did a fantastic job. I have very high peaks on my house where the wasps like to build their nests. Aaron, using his extra long pole, was able to reach all but one of the peaks! I was so impressed bc no one else has been able to reach all of them! Additionally, he was exceptionally thorough, very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns, he was extremely professional, and had amazing customer service. I highly recommend him for any of your pest control services. Thank you, Aaron, for your hard work and pleasant demeanor. It was a pleasure meeting with you, and it’s such a relief to feel confident about the work you completed.
This was our first service with Aptive. Here are my thoughts, they need to find an employee that takes pride in their work, meaning that they are through with what they have to do. Not only did we get a half a** job the trim around the house wasn’t treated for wasp as in the second story. We have a big house and property that goes with it, and all the spray, brush wipe down and seeds were done in a total of 8min (cameras around the house to show time). We have a 3500sq ft house along with 1acre fenced in yard.
I feel like they have all the equipment needed to get the job done, just need more attention to detail. If i am paying for a service I would like that service to be provided.
First we had an 8-8:30 appointment and Ky did not appear until after 10:00 am. When he showed up we had to ask questions of him. He did not volunteer any information. Asked us if water was on and we told we would hook up a hose and run water, which we did. When he left he didn’t even bother to tell us he was done and leaving so the water continued to run until we noticed the van was gone. He has absolutely no customer service skills. A time later he did send us pictures of what we guess he did. Being first time customers we really had no idea of what he was doing and still are not really certain of what he did. It feels like a half hour was not enough time to cover our property. Also. we have a detached garage we did not see him even approach. At this time we would not recommend this company. Because we have a one year contract, we will see if anything improves.
It is very expensive and they make it almost impossible to cancel. When you tell the automated system you want to cancel…you’re placed on hold forever.
I should mention that we also had a family of mice living in our house despite paying aptive a truckload of money every year.
I finally got on the phone with someone and canceled it. She asked permission to charge me the $199 cancellation fee. I said NO!!! I asked to send me a bill for it because I wasn’t ready to pay it in that moment. They said they’d send a bill and charged me anyway.
The best part is that canceling the service and paying the fee didn’t actually cancel. They still sent an exterminator to my house 4 days after I canceled and they’re attempting to charge me for that. There is no getting out of Aptive once you sign up.
If you’re thinking something doesn’t seem right about this place…you’re right. Run!
Needs honesty in their door to door sales pitch, they’ll sneak in the question of doing service in a monotone voice and use your filler reply of “uh huh?” As yes. Then they reconfirm you said yes to doing work then you say no that’s not what I agreed to, and they keep on trying and trying to sly get you to say yes to service work. Definitely out to just scam get you to agree to get serviced, they’ll tell you normal price is $399 but today their truck is in town so they can get you for $150, after a few no’s they then land on the final full service price today is $49.99 doing you the favor. The only credit I give them is the salesman’s effort to really sell to me even though I started laughing at him in his desperation to sell to me. Warn all your elderly loved ones.
