On April 28, I was sitting on my porch enjoying the day. A salesman from EcoShield walked up to our fence and asked us if we’d like pest control services for about $180.
He said that he was already working with our HOA, and that he’d be doing basic treatment. He said if we wanted extra treatment, he could offer us a deal. I signed up for this. He texted me and asked me to reply with a “1” to confirm we got it. I did that.
Later I got an email from HOA saying that they were not working with EcoShield in anyway. So that was a lie. I checked that text he sent, and it said we’d have to make five payments of $180, about $900. That’s not what we talked about in person.
I looked up this company online and found many people reporting similar experiences.
I don’t know if the pest control service they performed that first day worked or not. I don’t want to do business with someone who lies outright or even deceives through implication. There’s plenty of money to be made by being honest and performing a service, like pest control, that millions of people need.
I canceled my service. When I called the number, it took over 20 minutes to confirm cancellation. The person on the phone asked me four times for an explanation, and each time I said: “I don’t want to explain. This call has already taken long enough.” And they kept asking.
Finally, I canceled by text, email certified mail, and phone. I sent evidence of all this to EcoShield by email.
This was our first service with EcoShield. The sales rep was really polite and not pushy at all. When I asked for time to compare it to our current service, he gave me his number and asked me to call him with any questions. We scheduled the first service later that afternoon.
Deandre showed up and provided me new customer information. He asked about any problems or areas we wanted him to concentrate on. He explained to me how he would accomplish the service and got to work. He was extremely polite and professional. He did not seem rushed or in a hurry, which made me feel he was doing a good job.
I hope Deandre is our technician again.
Isabella was here to treat the house and yard. Isabella was very personable. She was very knowledgeable and able to communicate the information effectively. She was very conscientious about keeping the dog free of any treatment inside or out. She took great care of my home and my yard while she was treating the property. I feel very comfortable about the quality of her work and have no issues with her returning for future treatments.
I have been using their services for almost a year now and can’t recommend them enough. Team is efficient, quick to respond, and attentive. Selena and team make life really easy with their customer centric approach and go to attitude. Delight to work with.
