I could not give this location a poorer review. They have completely absconded of their responsibility and terms of their contract and their word. Even their own Corporate office could not come up with a justification for them. Today I finally filed a complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs. Here is a rundown of what happened to me and my Wife. The initial complaint for this specific situation was made 30 days before our contract 2yr contract expired. I had called several times 30 days before our expiration regarding our renewal. During our very first service after we moved in, the tech forgot to close one of our side gates and our large Akita and German Shepherds escaped. One of them attacked a small dog that was being walked by an older woman in our community. Needless to say we were blackballed for a bit and the dog was injured, though minor. However this was absolutely Orkin’s fault and we shared the video with the manager that was working he no longer works there, the tech at the time did in May ’24. He greatly apologized and said we would get a large discount come our renewal. We were fine with that as it didn’t cost us any money and eventually we were able to explain on the Community FB that Orkin was at fault. Fast forward now to that 30 day period before the expiration of the 2 year contract I have not received any call backs from Orkin, I begin emailing. During that time I do get an invoice a week before its due and its the full price of $275. I was not pleased, again called and no response and left a message and again no callback. I called the Corporate office, I believe in Greenville and talked to a nice woman and she said that office had some turnover and manager issues but I would get a callback. I then got some emails from Margaret, however sporadic. It was now a month past the expiration. We also were considering selling our home, its a big deal here in SC that the Termite bond we transferrable. During that time we had a pre-inspection for a prospective off-market Buyer and he discovered the green newly installed Orkin box was forcibly installed into a sprinkler head, causing a leak. I took pictures and when I sent my next email to Margaret I not only mentioned it but showed the picture. She responded that the new manager had planned on crediting us the next term in our contract, which was nice but my concern was that may not cover the costs. She immediately went into she would have to send someone out. All communication ceased. I sent emails asking for an update and called numerous times. I never heard back. I called corporate as well, I was given apologies and told they are not sure why this office would not return my calls. I am unprotected without the termite service. I want at the very least the contract fee to get another service or a continuation of the service. I also want the sprinkler head repaired. I also want an apology and explanation why I was just completely ghosted. I am awaiting to see how they respond to that official complaint. They have a lot to do to make this right.
