Trey and Greg from Five star plumbing installed my water heater and were very Friendly and hard-working. I was very satisfied with their service. Thank you, Trey and Greg and Five star plumbing.
I had two service calls in. We had sewer issues which then caused my furnace to go out. I had a guy come to quote for a new furnace and also the sewer issue. The HVAC sales person was aware of the sewer issues. The sewer flooded our basement 3 months ago. The water level had went down and was dry 2 months ago. The sales tech said it wasn’t an issue since there was no standing water. I specifically asked because I know it isn’t an ideal situation. The installers showed up the next week to install a furnace and a new AC. They refused the job claiming they didn’t want to cut their hands on steel and get a blood born pathogen. Getting a blood born pathogen from a basement that flooded 3 months ago is impossible. Blood born pathogens are long dead 5 days after leaving the body. HIV only survives 5 hours outside of the body. This means there wasn’t blood born pathogens in my basement 3 months ago when it backed up into my basement, let alone 2 months after it had dried from being flooded. IF there were any pathogens, they were dead a long time ago. That being said, blood born pathogens aren’t an issue in sewage according to OSHA. I am not saying it isn’t gross, or unsanitary, but they weren’t at that level of risk. The truth is they didn’t want to do the job. They (3 service techs) were talking about how they didn’t want to do it when walking up to my house, as per my doorbell camera. They said they’d call a sanitation place for me and I said I’d just hire someone else because I knew that wasn’t the truth. I’m a nurse who works in infectious disease (and addiction), of all things. Then, the sewer guy came out two days later. I paid for the camera scope in order to quote the issue. He did a camera scope. He never sent the quote. He called me and said he’d need to call and price quotes for road flaggers first and then never sent me the quote. He also ignored my call when I reached out to him. They appear to be a company that wants quick and easy jobs and does anything in their power to avoid the dirty jobs. They should’ve told me they couldn’t do it instead of promising me it wasn’t an issue. I could’ve scheduled another company instead of waiting a week for other quotes and an install. Another company did come out yesterday and I have a beautiful new AC and furnace that works well for $2000 less than five star quoted me.
My installation was great!
It was a tricky process, since it involved a return of a water heater to the store, in exchange for a replacement. Trey and Connor were very thorough throughout the process and carefully checked each water heater that Lowe’s might issue. They were able to identify existing damage to multiple water heaters, so as to avoid any further holdup. They were really good about explaining the process and there work in removal of old and installation of new water heater was very efficient and well-done. I’m happy to be back up and running

I contacted Five Star Plumbing about water backing up into my basement. They were able to get me on the schedule very quickly. The technicians were very professional and clean, wearing boot covers and everything. They were able to clear the blockage in my sewer main! Highly recommend!
