I do not like to write a negative review, but I feel I must to help others who may be experiencing the problems we had. After reading the positive reviews, we contacted The Plumbing Doctor to help figure out why both toilets were running quite often. He came on July 26 and even though my husband stated he had already replaced the flapper, the representative said this had to be the problem and purchased a new flapper. He charged $145 for the service call and $20 for the flapper we did not need and ordered another flapper for the other toilet. The flapper was not the issue. We had to be the ones to always call and find out where the part was. My husband finally convinced the representative it was not the flapper, therefore the representative ordered another part (what part we do not know). After being told again the part was on back order, and the plumber thinking we might consider replacing both toilets (house is only 4 years old) because the plumber was unsure what the problem could be, we decided to take matters into our own hands. We contacted the water supply company which came out to make sure our water pressure was good. They suggested we replaced the float in each toilet. My husband went to Lowe’s — purchased two floats on Tuesday — replaced both floats on Wednesday, and as of today (Friday- September 6) no more running toilets. Therefore if you have running toilets, replace the flapper—if that does not work—replace the float–and if still doesn’t help, I suggest calling a different plumber. We received no service for the money we paid.
I called this plumber, the man was very rude. Will never use this business for anything and recommend no one else does either. If you cant be polite, you shouldn’t be in business! Don’t let him ruin your day, call another plumber.
Our trusted go-to plumber for the past three years. Reliable and always does a wonderful job. Thank you Rick!
Made an appointment for 5pm Tuesday. He was there. All I had was a leaking hot water spigot in the bathtub. He had the part needed and within 15 minutes, no more leak. Awesome! Price was very reasonable. Elder gentleman, clean and polite.
Rick is awesome. Worked hard and came right away to fix our plumbing. Reasonable rates. Will definitely us again.
